And, Venables also believes that Man United's defeat to Liverpool in last weekend's Worthington Cup final could also have a knock-on effect in their title aspirations.
"Every team that loses a game I would expect them to react, but losing a game of that magnitude then they will be very hurt," said Venables.
"But I also believe they will be looking to the Champions League, more so than the league - as much as they will want to win tonight - because I think they will find the league very difficult to win.
"They had their problems earlier in the season, and they have done well to get where they are, but Arsenal have been so strong I can't see them letting it go."
