However, Leeds have been quick to play down the reports regarding Somma, who recently signed a new three-year deal at the club.

"Leeds United would like to confirm that striker Davide Somma has not joined Swansea City," read a statement on the club's official website. "The story, somewhat strangely, claims that Davide has joined the Welsh club on loan. We can confirm the story is totally incorrect."
