Johansson is a free agent in the summer if he does not agree a new deal at Ewood Park and Leeds are aware of the situation.
"If they want me to stay, I'll probably stay," Johansson said last month.
Johansson lost his place when Mark Hughes joined as boss, with former Leeds skipper Dominic Matteo at full back and Ryan Nelsen and Andy Todd regulars in the middle of defence.
The 25-year-old £2.5m signing from Nurnberg last played in the 1-0 home defeat to Arsenal in March.
