Less than 35 miles apart, this Yorkshire derby will see two former Manchester City team mates Paul Dickov and Uwe Rosler go head-to-head as managers.
Rovers boss Dickov said: “I’m looking forward to going head-to-head with Uwe who is an old friend of mine. He is a great guy and our lads even play in the same school team together."
Dickov's side last faced Leeds United at Elland Road in the 2013/14 Championship season, winning the match 2-1 with goals from David Cotterill and Billy Sharp.
Leeds' fixture at Reading has now moved to Sunday, 16th August (3pm) due to the cup-tie being played on Thursday.
