The 32-year-old, who scored the winner against Leeds last week at Molineux, has also scored another four goals this season since returning from a cruciate knee ligament injury.
But the Romanian is out of contract at the end of the season and Wolves say they will not discuss a new contract until the close season.
Gary Williams, the player's agent, said: "His family love Wolverhampton and Vio wants to be part of Wolves. We can't wait until May to find out whether Vio is going to get a contract for next season.
"There is lots of interest in him and Cardiff, Leeds and Southampton have all asked to be kept informed about what's going on."
