The Whites are likely to be unrecognisable from the team which ended last season in the Premiership when they kick off against The Rams on Saturday August 7.
Leeds have a tasty opening month with games against Wolves, Nottingham Forest and rivals Sheffield United.
"We start a new season with a clean sheet and a reasonably new team," said chairman Gerald Krasner on the official website.
"We wanted our first game at home, I think every club does, and to finish at home (against Rotherham) with a derby is a bonus but hopefully our destiny will be decided by then.
"If we win our first three games then everybody will be delighted, if not they will be dreadfully unhappy and worrying for us again, so it's important we start well.
"It's good to start with some big games at home, we're hopeful of good crowds to welcome our new players and what is a new beginning for this club."
