The Aussie midfielder was tracked by the Championship side before he moved to Elland Road in the January transfer window last year. But Rovers have shown their interest again this week.
Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll said: "I have spoken to Leeds manager Simon Grayson about Kilkenny's availability and the response was that they are not looking to sell him, although every player has their price, and that's as far as it has gone."
