Wise Warned Off

Wise wants Steve Davies from Tranmere Rovers but their boss Ronnie Moore has asked his board at Prenton Park to resist Leeds' interest, and Blackpool look set to reject any bids for his other main target Shaun Barker, their 24-year-old full-back.

Wise has been checking Barker and is considering submitting an offer to Bloomfield Road, but Blackpool boss Simon Grayson has played down talk by insisting it would take a "fantastic offer" to prize him away.
