Ugandan property tycoon Michael Ezra has been in contact with United, but any bid for the club is still a long way off and looks as though it may never materialise.
United officials continue to focus their attention on the local group who first publicly expressed their interest in the club on January 27th.
Talks have been ongoing all week as representatives from the consortium get closer to a full takeover.
