The 17-year-old former Celtic youth player has already attracted the interest of several Scottish clubs and will travel down to West Yorkshire after Elgin visit Berwick (Aug 27).
Elgin boss David Robertson himself made the move to Elland Road from Rangers in 1997 and hopes Vigurs can make a name for himself.
"It's a good opportunity for him and an honour for the club that our young players are being linked with clubs like Leeds, " Robertson said.
"They've got a nice academy down there and some nice accommodation so I'd imagine they'll look after him and he'll enjoy it.
"Who knows, he might impress them and get a deal down there, but there's always a chance that he might catch the eye of someone else when he's there."
